Congratulations! Dogs newly enrolled with AKC Companion Animal Recovery are eligible for the one-time Complimentary 60-Day Trial AKC Pet Healthcare Plan.* You can activate your complimentary plan within 28 days of your enrollment date with AKC Companion Animal Recovery.

The Complimentary 60-Day Trial AKC Pet Healthcare Plan

Activate your plan by Internet, phone or mail. Once activated, your Complimentary 60-Day Trial Plan is effective on your dog�s CAR enrollment date and includes the following coverage:

Veterinary treatment, office visits, diagnostic procedures, laboratory tests and treatment for covered services
Medications prescribed for covered injuries and illnesses
Accident and injury coverage from Day 1 to Day 60
Illness coverage from Day 31 to Day 60
A total coverage limit of $1,500 ($500 per incident), 20% coinsurance and a $100 deductible

To take advantage of this benefit, activate your dog's complimentary plan using your AKC CAR unique ID number from your confirmation letter. Please allow a few days for your AKC CAR records to reach PetPartners Inc. Once activated, your Complimentary Plan start date is the same as your AKC CAR enrollment date.

At the end of the complimentary trial period, you can continue protection by choosing one of the affordable and comprehensive annual plans designed to help provide excellent health care for your dog.

If you choose both the complimentary plan and an annual plan, you benefit from continuous coverage with no waiting period. This means that when you continue your protection with one of the annual Accident and Illness plans with no gap in coverage, the usual 30-day waiting period for illness will be waived. This way, you can enjoy the enhanced benefits of your new annual plan from the day it starts.
